Brandon Perkins, a former NPEP student, navigates life after prison with support from his NPEP community. Now a Northwestern student, he balances his newfound freedom with the lessons learned from his prison education, while maintaining connections with classmates still incarcerated.

Patricia Ouska is the artist behind the Vol. 2, Issue 1 cover. Her dream catcher painting reflects her Indigenous heritage and symbolizes hope and freedom. Through NPEP, she has found a space to be seen, heard, and express her true self.
